Gothenburg, Sweden – April 5, 2025: Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered in Gothenburg to reaffirm their unwavering support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), presenting it as the only democratic and viable alternative to the current regime. Participants also voiced strong endorsement of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi‘s 10-point plan, which envisions a free, democratic, and secular Iran.
During the gathering, attendees emphasized their continued commitment to the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom, justice, and human rights. They called on the international community to recognize the legitimacy of this resistance movement and support the Iranian people’s aspirations for democracy.
Speakers and participants condemned all forms of dictatorship—whether rooted in the clerical regime of the mullahs or a return to monarchical rule—and reiterated their support for the establishment of a democratic republic in Iran.
The demonstration also highlighted support for the courageous activities of MEK Resistance Units in Zahedan, who continue to raise the voices of the oppressed people of Balochestan every Friday, protesting the clerical dictatorship and rejecting both religious and monarchic tyranny.
Attendees expressed solidarity with the recent protests in Isfahan, where farmers have taken to the streets in defiance of the regime’s oppressive policies.
Finally, participants urged international bodies to acknowledge the Iranian people’s right to resist tyranny. They called for official recognition of the MEK Resistance Units’ right to self-defense in their legitimate fight for a free Iran.
