MEK Resistance Units in Zahedan Confront Iran’s Regime with Bold Calls for Uprising

Zahedan, Baluchestan – April 4, 2025

Zahedan, Baluchestan Province – April 4, 2025 — In a striking act of defiance against the regime’s brutal repression, PMOI (MEK) Resistance Units in Zahedan launched a courageous campaign, spreading large-scale banners and leaflets across public spaces, including areas near Friday prayer gatherings. These powerful displays carried revolutionary slogans that openly challenged the Iranian regime’s tight grip on one of the country’s most heavily surveilled and marginalized regions — Sistan and Baluchestan.

Despite heavy security and constant monitoring, the Resistance Units succeeded in delivering their message loud and clear, echoing the voices of a nation yearning for freedom. At the heart of their campaign was a slogan that boldly declared:

“No to Crown, No to Turban… The People Want a Democratic Republic.”

This defining message encapsulates the uprising’s clear stance: a rejection of both the monarchy and the theocracy. The Iranian people demand a future rooted in democracy, justice, and popular sovereignty.

Another banner read:

“From Zahedan to Tehran, Death to the Oppressor — Be It Shah or Khamenei.”

This statement underscores a unified national resistance against all forms of dictatorship — whether under royal or clerical rule. It signals that this is not just a local protest, but a movement with momentum stretching from the margins to the heart of Iran.

The Resistance Units also displayed:

“The Regime of Executions and Massacres Will Be Buried in the Dustbin of History.”

A stark condemnation of the regime’s decades-long legacy of violence, this message rejects any notion of reform and calls instead for a complete dismantling of the current system.

With banners proclaiming:

“Iran’s New Democratic Revolution Will Triumph,”

the Resistance emphasized their confidence that this uprising is not fleeting — it is a full-scale national revolution poised to shape a new future for Iran.

They reaffirmed their independence and self-reliance with:

“We Rely on the Anger and Energy of Our Oppressed Society… and We Will Overthrow the Regime.”

This slogan speaks to the immense, untapped force within Iranian society — a collective fury that the regime cannot contain forever.

Finally, the Resistance spotlighted the regime’s misuse of religion with a powerful quote from Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI):

“The Mullahs Are Religious Charlatans — Islam’s Worst Enemies. Their God Is a Deity of Torture and Execution.”

This statement exposes the regime’s cynical exploitation of faith to justify repression and brutality.

The actions in Zahedan are not isolated. They are part of a coordinated, nationwide resistance movement with one unwavering objective: to bring down the regime of Velayat-e Faqih and replace it with a free, democratic republic. No retreat. No compromise. The goal is clear — the end of theocracy in Iran.
