Malmö, Sweden – April 5, 2025 — Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a public rally and exhibition in Malmö to spotlight the worsening human rights crisis in Iran, particularly the alarming rise in executions of political prisoners.
The event highlighted the harsh realities endured by PMOI members and other political detainees. Many have been sentenced to death following unfair trials. Among the most urgent cases are Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani, both at imminent risk of execution.
Participants expressed firm support for the ongoing Iranian Revolution and called on the Swedish government to take concrete action—namely, to shut down the Iranian regime’s embassy in Stockholm and formally designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.

In organizing the exhibition, activists emphasized their vision of a future democratic republic in Iran—rejecting both theocratic rule under the current regime and any return to monarchy.
The rally concluded with a powerful appeal for international recognition of the Iranian people’s right to resist tyranny. Attendees underscored the role of MEK Resistance Units operating inside Iran, asserting their legitimacy in defending themselves and advancing the struggle for freedom and democracy.
