Melbourne, Australia – June 20, 2025: Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) organized an exhibition to protest the Iranian regime’s escalating human rights abuses, particularly the death sentences imposed on political prisoners.
The event condemned the regime’s ongoing repression and demanded the immediate release of all political prisoners, while paying tribute to the martyrs of the Iranian Revolution—those executed or killed during uprisings.
Members of Melbourne’s Iranian community voiced strong support for the establishment of a democratic republic in Iran, firmly rejecting all forms of dictatorship—including both theocratic rule under the mullahs and any return to monarchy.
The group called for the closure of the Iranian regime’s embassy in Australia and urged the Australian government to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.
Organizers emphasized the importance of recognizing the Iranian people’s resistance—especially the efforts of MEK Resistance Units operating within Iran—in their ongoing struggle against oppression. They reaffirmed the Iranian people’s right to defend themselves in their pursuit of freedom and democracy.
Australian visitors to the exhibition expressed solidarity with the Iranian people’s struggle, voicing support for democracy, human rights, and an end to the regime’s brutality.
