MEK Resistance Units in Zahedan Stand Firm Against Repression, Rejecting the Shah and Mullahs’ Dictatorship

MEK Resistance Units in Zahedan – June 13, 2025

On Friday, June 13, despite intense security and surveillance, the PMOI Resistance Units in Zahedan—the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan province—carried out a series of impactful activities. These included hanging large banners, distributing handwritten flyers, and posting politically charged messages that voiced the Iranian people’s demands and openly confronted the ruling regime.

A Focus on Nuclear Crisis and International Responsibility

The slogans highlighted the regime’s nuclear dilemma, with messages such as “After 20 years, the regime is caught in a trap” and “Khamenei, with or without the atomic bomb, will be overthrown.” These statements reflect a widespread belief that the regime’s nuclear ambitions have failed as a survival strategy, and that the Iranian people are determined to bring about its downfall.

The Resistance called upon the global community to act decisively by “immediately activating the trigger mechanism” and dismantling Khamenei’s nuclear facilities. They emphasized that “freedom for Iran guarantees peace in the region and security worldwide,” urging international recognition of the Iranian people’s right to resist and demand regime change.

Rejecting All Forms of Dictatorship

A powerful theme was the outright rejection of both the former Shah ’s monarchy and the current mullahs’ theocracy. Slogans such as “Neither the Shah’s dictatorship nor the Mullahs’ leadership; the Iranian people demand a democratic republic” and “A dictatorship is a dictatorship, whether with a turban or a crown” underscored this stance.

Other messages like “Baluchestan is awake; it despises the Shah and the Mullahs” and “The Velayat and the Shah’s dictatorship: one hundred years of crime” reflect a unified vision within the resistance to prevent any return to tyranny under a new guise.

Defying Repression and Execution

In response to the regime’s brutal wave of executions, especially in Baluchestan, the Resistance Units boldly declared that such repression will not deter their struggle. Slogans included: “Neither the execution of political prisoners nor threats will stop us from overthrowing the regime,” and “The savage executions reveal the deadly impasse of the mullahs.”

These messages highlight that the regime’s harsh tactics only strengthen the resolve of Iranian youth and resistance fighters, fueling their determination to continue until freedom is achieved.

A Movement with Clear Political Vision

The Resistance Units’ activities in Zahedan, carried out under oppressive conditions, demonstrate the resilience and organization of Iran’s opposition. The variety and depth of their slogans show that this movement is not merely a reaction to economic hardship but a deliberate political effort to establish a democratic, non-nuclear republic founded on freedom, justice, and equality for all Iranians.
