Resistance Units affiliated with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) carried out coordinated activities across several Iranian cities following the execution of two of its members.
On April 21, 2026, one day after the execution of two PMOI members Hamed Validi and Mohammad (Nima) Massoum Shahi, Resistance Units launched coordinated activities in multiple cities.
Resistance Units installed posters and displayed banners featuring the martyrs alongside messages of resistance. In Zahedan, banners directly challenged the regime, declaring, “Our response to executions is fiery uprisings.”
Additional messages in the city highlighted public awareness of the regime’s motives, including a banner stating that by executing “the bravest children of Iran,” the authorities are “futilely trying to delay the explosion of the wrath of the people.”
Similar actions took place across Tehran, Shiraz, Kermanshah, Jolfa, Kamyaran, Sari, and Ilam. Resistance Units honored the executed members’ steadfastness, stating that they “proved they will not surrender to the regime” and praising their “honor and steadfastness.” In Shiraz, messages described how the martyrs “stood heroically and kissed the noose.”
