Resistance Units Amplify Messages of Freedom and Peace
On Friday, April 24, 2026, MEK Resistance Units in Zahedan took to the streets, displaying banners that echoed key messages from the leadership of the Iranian Resistance. Their action underscored a firm rejection of both religious and monarchical dictatorships, while advocating for peace, freedom, and an end to international appeasement of Iran’s repressive clerical regime.

Message from Massoud Rajavi: Reject All Forms of Dictatorship
Mr. Massoud Rajavi, the Leader of the Iranian Resistance, emphasized:
- The systems of both the Shah and the clerics—rooted in despotism and dependency—must be dismantled entirely.
- Fascist slogans such as “Long live the Shah,” “Only the Rastakhiz Party,” or “the only party is the party of God (Hezbollah),” as well as “Khamenei is the Leader,” must be discarded.
- Any form of fascism or dictatorship—whether religious or monarchical—has, for the past century, amounted to war against the Iranian people.
- The recent ceasefire exposed the hollow and opportunistic war rhetoric of the Shah’s remnants under the guise of humanitarianism.
- For a hundred years, the true struggle in Iran has been between freedom and tyranny, embodied by both the Shah and the ruling clerics.

Maryam Rajavi: Call for Firm International Action
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, called on the international community—especially the European Union—to take decisive steps:
- Condition relations with the Iranian regime on the cessation of executions and the killing of protesters.
- Recognize regime leaders as responsible for crimes against humanity and genocide, and bring them to justice.
- Recognize the NCRI’s provisional government as a legitimate alternative for peace and stability in the region.
- Close regime embassies in Europe and expel agents of the Ministry of Intelligence and the IRGC.
- Honor the fallen members of the MEK as the price paid for Iran’s freedom and independence.
Slogans in Support of Peace and Freedom
The Resistance Units also voiced support for peace, expressing hope that the temporary ceasefire—despite opposition from remnants of both the Shah and the clerical regime—will ultimately lead to an end to war and open the path toward peace and freedom.
