Resistance Units Call for Abolition of Death Sentences and Overthrow of the Clerical Regime

Resistance Units of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Tehran, Karaj, Gorgan, Tabriz, Mashhad, Isfahan, Shiraz, Rasht, Ahvaz, Abadan, Bojnurd, Yazd, Kerman, Khorramabad, Parand, and Varamin called for the abolition of death sentences and the overthrow of the clerical regime.

As nationwide protests against the wave of executions continue, on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, the 139th week of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign was marked by extensive field activities, poster installations, and photo actions in Tehran, Karaj, and dozens of other cities across Iran.

Tehran – September 22, 2026

In Tehran, a floral tribute featuring a color photograph of PMOI martyr Akbar Daneshvarkar was displayed with the message:

“Dear Akbar, you are gone, but your memory will always remain with us and live in our hearts.”

Posters were also installed carrying the slogan:

“We demand the abolition of death sentences against political prisoners across Iran. No to Execution Tuesdays.”

Another poster carried the message:

“We demand the abolition of death sentences against innocent prisoners. No to Execution Tuesdays.”

Karaj – September 22, 2026

Tabriz – September 22, 2026

A poster was installed carrying the slogan:
