Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the NCRI, about the formation of an International fact-finding mission by the UN Human Rights Council to probe Iran’s suppression of protests since September 2022, said: “We welcome the formation of an International fact-finding mission. It is very necessary to visit the open and secret prisons in #Iran, particularly the prisons of the Ministry of Intelligence and the State Security Force.”

Mrs. Rajavi also said: “The Iranian people and Resistance have been stressing this need for 4 decades, but the policy of appeasement prevented it in favor of the inhuman regime. The fact-finding mission must also undertake the massacre of political prisoners in Iran.”

She added: “The UN Human Rights Council resolution to form an international fact-finding mission & probe the suppression of Iran protests was adopted by an absolute majority of member states, indicating an international consensus against unabated bloodletting of the regime ruling Iran.”
