Majority of Connecticut General Assembly Supported Maryam Rajavi’s 10-Point Plan for Future Iran

Majority of Connecticut General Assembly Supported Maryam Rajavi’s 10-Point Plan for Future Iran

A statement of support for the Iranian people’s quest for freedom in Iran has been issued by the General Assembly of the State of Connecticut in the United States. This bipartisan statement, endorsed by a majority in both the House and Senate of Connecticut, expresses solidarity with the Iranian people and their aspirations for a secular republic in Iran, as outlined in Maryam Rajavi‘s Ten-Point Plan.

Among the signatories, 85 members of the 151-member House of Representatives and 22 out of 36 Senators of the state Senate supported the statement. They emphasized the importance of a new state in Iran that upholds human rights and dignity for all individuals.

The statement draws attention to the fact that the people of Iran have been denied their fundamental freedoms and have rejected both monarchical dictatorship and religious despotism, evident in their protest slogans.

Furthermore, the majority of the Connecticut Senate and House of Representatives noted that Resolution 100, supported by a majority of the US Congress, demonstrates solidarity with the Iranian people and their support for Maryam Rajavi‘s 10-point plan for Iran’s future.

The statement also sheds light on the Iranian regime’s suppression of ethnic and religious minorities, resulting in the violation of their basic human rights and numerous executions. These affected minorities include Iranian Kurds, Baluchis, Arabs, Christians, Jews, Baha’is, Zoroastrians, and even Sunni Muslims.
