International Women’s Day Conference in Paris: Honoring the Struggle of Iranian Women for Freedom and Equality

The website of the NCRI Women’s Committee has recently highlighted the upcoming International Women’s Day Conference, organized by the Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in Paris, France, bringing together distinguished women leaders, former presidents, parliamentarians, and activists from around the world.

According to the report, this year’s conference holds special significance as it aligns with the 69th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69 – 2025), focusing on women’s rights and gender equality. The event will particularly emphasize the resistance of Iranian women against oppression, including their struggle against the regime’s repressive laws and policies. It notes that Iranian women are at the forefront of the fight for freedom, opposing not only the compulsory hijab but also broader injustices in society, the economy, culture, and human rights.

The website also highlights Maryam Rajavi’s leadership and vision for women’s active participation in political leadership, promoting the slogan:
“No to compulsory hijab, no to compulsory religion, no to compulsory government.”

The article further states that the conference will provide a platform to amplify the voices of Iranian women and strengthen international support for their cause. It encourages readers to follow the official NCRI Women’s Committee page on X (@womenncri) for updates and to use the hashtag #WomenForce4Change to help spread awareness.

More details about the event will be announced soon.
