Berlin & Hamburg, Germany – February 25, 2025 – Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held protests and public demonstrations in Berlin and Hamburg to condemn the Iranian regime’s escalating use of executions as a tool of repression. The events were part of the “No to Executions Tuesdays” campaign, which aims to raise global awareness about the dire situation of political prisoners in Iran.
In Berlin, MEK supporters gathered to denounce the recent death sentences imposed on political prisoners and called on the international community to take immediate action. Protesters held banners and chanted slogans demanding an end to state-sponsored executions in Iran. The demonstration highlighted the regime’s systematic use of capital punishment to silence dissent and suppress opposition movements.
Meanwhile, in Hamburg, activists organized an exhibition featuring books and images of martyrs who lost their lives in the struggle for freedom in Iran. The display served as a tribute to those executed by the regime and as a call for justice. Protesters emphasized the need for stronger international measures, including sanctions against Iranian officials responsible for human rights violations.
Participants in both cities called for European governments to hold Tehran accountable for its crimes against humanity. They also urged the European Union to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization and to shut down Iranian regime embassies, which they accused of facilitating espionage and repression abroad.
The demonstrations in Berlin and Hamburg reflect the growing international opposition to Iran’s brutal crackdown on dissidents. As protests against the regime continue both inside and outside Iran, activists reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Iranian people’s struggle for democracy, freedom, and human rights.
