Brussels, Belgium – February 24, 2025: Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered outside the European Union Council of Ministers meeting in Brussels to protest the Iranian regime’s escalating human rights violations. The demonstrators strongly condemned the surge in executions, particularly targeting political prisoners.
Protesters specifically called for an immediate halt to the death sentences of Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani, two political prisoners at imminent risk of execution. The rally served as a platform to amplify international demands for justice and human rights in Iran.
The Iranian Resistance supporters urged European governments to take decisive action against Tehran’s regime, including sanctioning officials responsible for executions and human rights abuses. They also renewed calls for the European Union to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization and to close the Iranian regime’s embassies across Europe.
Participants expressed their unwavering support for a democratic republic in Iran, firmly rejecting all forms of dictatorship—both the current theocratic rule and any return to monarchical rule.
The event in Brussels was part of a broader wave of demonstrations by the Iranian diaspora, advocating for justice, democracy, and an end to state-sponsored oppression in Iran.
