Tuesday’s Iran Mini Report – April.17, 2018

• Four Iran regime’s Security Personnel Reported Killed At Pakistan Border

Four members of the regime’s security forces have been killed by militants in an attack along the country’s border with Pakistan, Iran’s state news agency IRNA.

• BANEH, Iran. Apr.17, 2018. Continued strikes by shopkeepers and Bazar merchants for the third consecutive day

Today the Strike in Baneh and Marivan in the western province of, Kurdistan continued their third day of protest against the new customs laws and the closure of the borders.

Reports from cities of Saghez, Javanrood, and Marivan indicate that the marketers and shopkeepers in these cities also joined the nationwide strike of border towns.

The regime has completely closed the borders of Baneh, Marivan, Piranshahr and Sardasht in recent months, which has intensified unemployment among young people, especially those men carrying merchandize to cross the border on foot.

According to the representative of Marivan, only from these city 8,000 men careers have been unemployed, causing a sharp recession in the marketers and businesses.

• Day 2 of protests by thousands in Kazerun

On Tuesday, April 17, residents of Kazerun, southern Iran, protested for a second day against the decision by the regime to split the city into two.

They chanted: “Guns, tanks and explosives don’t scare us anymore”, “Our Enemy Is Here, It Is Falsely Said To Be America” and “We will not yield to humiliation”.

On Monday, thousands of residents of Kazerun gathered in the main square and protested against the decision of the government officials. They blame the authorities for years of mismanagement.

Kazerun is situated in Iran’s southern Fars Province.

• Families of 500 detained Iranian Arab protesters rally outside Governor’s Office in Ahvaz

Relatives of the approximately 500 Iranian Arab demonstrators detained in recent anti-regime protests in Ahvaz, south-west Iran, held a rally outside the Office of the Governor of Khuzestan Province on Monday, April 16, 2018.
The families published a statement, which was circulated online via social media, stating that their loved ones had been arrested simply for defending their Arab heritage.
