Iran: Three-Fold Increase of Drug Addiction Amongst Women &Girls, Affecting as Young as 11-Year-Olds
The prevalence of addiction has turned so disastrous in Iran that despite some attempts of censorship, many state media and officials can’t help but acknowledge this truth.
A parliamentarian named Hasan Lotfi comments in this regard: “the average age of drug addiction has dropped to as low as just 11 years” (August 17, 2018)
Even though addiction was once more widespread in the poorer outskirts, it is now witnessed even in some of the rich city areas, within women gymnasiums and salons in certain cases.
Drug addiction is now more prevalent amongst women than men in Iran, affecting as young as 13-year-olds and sadly, many infants too (September 4, 2018; ISNA).
Many state officials admit to this fact too, declaring addiction as one of the top struggles of Iranian women today.
According to the Minister of Drug Control Organisation of Golestan Province, several sports clubs and beauty salons have become the stamping ground for women drug dealers (June 28, 2018; Mehr News).

In Iran’s Regime, certain things such as corruption, defalcation, and theft, have all become the norm these days.
The economic corruption has been evident in many instances, such as that of the excessive imports and smuggling of products, happening through some of the regime’s own formal pathways.
On August 16th 2018, a state-run newsagency named Khaneh Mellat, reported on behalf of the parliament’s Research and Education Committee: “when it comes to the import of stationary, there are massive profits involved, which has consequently led to the formation of a powerful mafia-like network here. According to our estimates, the revenues of this field are astronomical figures which makes it a very attractive niche for some people”.
Iran opposition President Maryam Rajavi pays tribute to Senator John McCain
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President of the Iranian opposition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), sent a message expressing her deepest condolences to the family of Senator John McCain after his passing away.
Senator McCain was a strong critic of the mullahs’ regime ruling Iran and visited members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in 2017 after their successful transfer to Albania, where he also met with Mrs. Rajavi.
On December 30th, 2017, coinciding with the Iranian people’s uprising across the country, Senator McCain expressed his support of their nationwide protests.

Iran (regime) Claims Full Control Of Gulf, Could Block Other Countries’ Oil Exports
Iran’s head of the navy of its Revolutionary Guards, General Alireza Tangsiri, claimed his country has full control of the Persian Gulf and the U.S. Navy does not belong there.
Tehran has suggested it could take military action in the Gulf to block other countries’ oil exports in retaliation for U.S. sanctions intended to halt its sales of crude.
Washington maintains a fleet in the Gulf that protects oil shipping routes.
Tangsiri said Iran had full control of the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz that leads into it. Closing the strait would be the most direct way of blocking shipping.
Iran Regime’s Huge Cyberwar Apparatus Paves Way for Terrorism and Fuels Appeasement
The Iranian Resistance welcomes the decision by Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google to shut down numerous social media accounts and pages run by the religious fascism ruling Iran, and it emphasizes the need to comprehensively confront the regime’s Internet terrorism. It calls on social networks and other Internet organizations like Wikipedia to completely clean up their networks from the agents of the mullahs’ regime who used the previous policy of appeasement to infiltrate these networks and misuse their services. Such action is needed to guarantee the free flow of information and the fight against state terrorism, the epicenter of which is the religious fascism ruling Iran.
The regime’s massive cyberwar apparatus is run by the Revolutionary Guards and the Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS) which spend huge amounts of money from the assets of the deprived people of Iran and employ thousands of IRGC members, Basijis and hackers affiliated to them. Their goal is to mislead, spread misinformation, demonize the Iranian Resistance, and prevent the free flow of information.
Student Activist Sentenced To Seven Years
A 21-year-old Iranian student and human rights activist, Parisa Rafiei, has been sentenced to seven years by Branch 26 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, her lawyer has disclosed.
Speaking with the state-run Iran Students News Agency (ISNA), Saeid Khalili said her client was tried for assembling and collusion intended to commit a crime against the country’s security, propaganda against the regime, and disturbing public order.
Khalili tweeted that the “unjust” verdict was issued againstRafiei for joining a demonstration in December 2017 voicingstudents’ demands and similar charges.
Khalili said she hoped the court of appeal’s verdict would lead to Rafiei’s acquittal.
A student of fine arts at Tehran University, Rafiei was detained by Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) intelligence agents on February 25 and released on March 19 on bail.
