Dr. Firouz Daneshgar, who invited the American Physicians Board to lead the project, said:
“My name is Firouz Daneshgari and I am one of the doctors helping Iranian resistance behind the scenes. We have a Medical mission here where we have brought many doctors from the US and elsewhere. In addition to this, we have brought a lot of medical facilities and medicines to treat common diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, etc.
“This project was very successful following the previous project we did last year, we visited a lot of Albanian citizens and treated them. We are doing this program under the name an Aid Foundation or MD Aid and it’s really become a social activity.
“These two or three days I’ve been here, wherever I go, Albanians know me. And here (Ashraf 3) has really become a pole of health and help to the Albanian people and as you can see, a number of people have come here.
“Mojahedin have prepared all things very regularly doctors visit people in different sections. Doctors first examine people’s eyes and then give them glasses, then check their blood pressure and blood sugar. In particular, we emphasize on kids and a lot of school kids are here for treatment.
“As an MEK supporter, I feel these projects are an example of Iran’s future to bring any facilities to the people and share it, however little it might be, and to really solve the people’s problem.
“As a physician, I have to say that what I do here is really the most valuable and meaningful thing I feel.
“I thank MEK members here for building this system so we can reach as many facilities as we can, with the doctors, and reach the people who need it. On behalf of myself and other doctors here thank you for letting us do what we always dreamed of.”
