Where Is Iran’s Oil Revenue Going?

In a meeting with a group of clerics in late March, Iranian regime president Ebrahim Raisi claimed that oil exports have reached pre-sanctions level and said, “The country was in a state that some officials said that if anyone manages to sell 200,000 barrels of oil, we will appoint him as the oil minister. But today, oil sales have returned to the levels before the sanctions and the revenue from oil sales is returning to the country.”

The Rampant Corruption and Nepotism Within the Iranian Regime Amounts to Kleptocracy

For centuries, economic corruption has been a major problem in many developed countries around the world. In Iran, however, the word ‘corruption’ barely covers the atrocities that the Iranian regime have inflicted throughout their rule, from misappropriation of public funds, to countless cases of embezzlement and the rampant nepotism.
