“Iraqi demonstrators have blocked roads leading to oil fields & are torching images of [Iran’ian regime founder] Khomeini… They’re heard chanting: “Set fire to Khomeini & Hashd al-Shaabi (PMF),” according to Kuwait’s Al-Seyassah daily.

Kazakhstan’s company to suspend supply of products from Iran

Kazakhstan’s “ArcelorMittal Temirtau” company is suspending the supply of hot rolled products from Iran, Kazakh media reported July 17 referring to the press service of the company.

The decision has been made in connection with the introduction of U.S. sanctions against Iran, the company explained.

“This is a temporary suspension of hot-rolled products supplies, that is, deliveries will not be carried out until the sanctions are lifted,” the company noted.

Former Portuguese MEP: Europe Must End Lunatic Appeasement of Iran

Former Portuguese MEP Paulo Casaca told the Free Iran gathering in Paris in late June that Europe should come together with the US to tackle the Iranian Regime and support the people’s call for regime change.

He began by praising US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for his 12 conditions for a new nuclear deal with Iran, following the US withdrawal from the 2015 accord in May. He said that these 12 conditions are the minimum of normal relations in the Council of Nations and advised that they could well be adopted by Europe as well.

He then explained that it was “ridiculous” that Europe would trade with Iran, who are currently threatening to abandon the nuclear deal if Europe cannot make up for the financial loss of the US market, and cited “deep corruption in the European political establishment” as the reason why this Europe-Iran relationship is continuing.

Iran Regime’s Oil Exports to Drop Significantly by End of Year

The US State Department recently announced that the United States wants to see imports of Iranian oil reduced to zero. Not long after the announcement was made, several foreign countries had already started to prepare for this.

Experts are now saying that by the end of 2018, oil exports from Iran could drop by as much as two-thirds. The oil market is already under huge strain because of oil supply outages in other parts of the world, so the Iran situation will only add to the supply shortages.

Washington had initially said that it wanted a complete halt to Iran oil imports and it said that no waivers or exceptions would be granted. However, given the complexity of the situation, the U.S. stance has significantly eased and the administration has announced that some allies that are dependent on Iran’s oil may be excluded.

Trump Tells Lawmakers U.S. Tough Policy On Iran Is Working

President Donald Trump told U.S. lawmakers in the White House on Tuesday that he spoke about Iran with the Russian President Vladimir Putin during their summit in Helsinki on July 16.

Trump took the occasion of his meeting with the members of Congress to once again reiterate that his tough policy had had an impact on the Islamic Republic.

“They’re no longer looking so much to the Mediterranean and the entire Middle East. They’ve got some big problems that they can solve, probably much easier if they deal with us. So we’ll see what happens, Trump said.”

Iraqi protester set Khamenei’s banner ablaze in Basra

Social media activists reported on Monday that, during their protests, the people of Basra, Iraq, had set ablaze large banners of Ruhollah Khomeini and Ali Khamenei, the original founder and the current supreme leader of the Iranian regime. The protesters also religious authorities to issue a fatwa against politicians who have ties with the Iranian regime.

Basra, a province south of Iraq, has a majority Shiite population and the Iranian regime boasts of having a large base of support there. It is one of the many southern provinces that have recently seen unrest due to the lack of public services and an expansion of corruption in government institutions.
