Mannheim, Germany – April 11, 2025 — Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held an exhibition in Mannheim to shed light on the escalating human rights crisis in Iran, particularly the alarming increase in executions of political prisoners. The event drew special attention to the recent execution of five political prisoners in Mashhad’s Vakilabad Prison.
The exhibition highlighted the brutal conditions faced by PMOI members and other political detainees, many of whom have been sentenced to death after unfair trials. Among the most urgent cases are Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani, both facing imminent execution.
Participants voiced strong support for the ongoing Iranian Revolution and urged the German government to take decisive action—specifically, to close the Iranian regime’s embassy in Berlin and formally designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.
Activists organizing the event emphasized their vision for a future democratic republic in Iran, rejecting both the current theocratic regime and any return to monarchy.
The rally concluded with a powerful call for international recognition of the Iranian people’s right to resist oppression. Attendees stressed the vital role of MEK Resistance Units operating within Iran, asserting their legitimacy in defending themselves and advancing the cause of freedom and democracy.
